Dr. Yim and staff have undergone extensive training in the diagnosis (identifying) and treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (aka TMD). We treat your head and neck pain with a non-surgical, non-drug, and completely reversible technique.

Your healing begins with our TMD Screening Appointment (1 hour and 40 minutes) which will entail:

• Interview (information collection regarding the history of your concerns)
• Joint Vibration Analysis (we ‘listen’ in on your joints)
• Surface Muscle Testing (we assess your facial muscle balance/harmony, and test for overacting or underacting muscles)
• Reflex Testing (we assess the degree of impact that your injury has on your ‘automatic’ reflexes)
• Estimated costs of TMD records and treatment

In order to properly diagnose your condition, a TMD Records Appointment (1 hour and 40 minutes) will follow:

• Dental moulds (these are used to make copies of your upper and lower teeth)
• Digital photos (these record your posture, jaw bone shape and size, and tooth relationships)
• Record of your ‘bite’
• Xrays (these provide images of your TMJ’s, sinuses, jaw bones, and growth pattern)
